  • Is anyone surprised at this story? This isn't simply a republican or democrat problem, it's a FEDERAL government problem. And they think we should do public run healthcare? Brilliant! Can you imagine the paperwork involved to see a doctor or specialist? The government has lost its mind.

  • I agree that something needs to be done with healthcare, but trying to jam it through in a few weeks doesn't sound very responsible. Why does he feel the need to try and get everything done in his first six months in office?

  • Demo Scout, I understand your point as well. Even though we are on different sides of the aisle we both agree that Congress is allowing special interests to have too much power in setting policy. I wonder how many people would find it appalling that a rep and dem actually agree on something.

  • Demo Scout you are obviously missing the point here. If he had simply made a phone call to help out a bank in his state that is one thing, but to be personally invested in the same bank is a conflict of interest, even if he has a staffer do it for him.

  • The problem with this whole mess is that 90% of American's who vote have their head in the sand and will simply vote for incumbent. They don't see or care what is happening to this country. Sad reality is that this country is heading for a cliff and there is nothing to stop it.
